I have a really nice solution for you. This is the way you can add mind maps to your MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
Please note that this works with MS Word and with MS PowerPoint. It works in older versions of them, but also in the latest one.

When you use this method, you will be able to edit the mind map by simply clicking on them. Your mind map tool opens and you can edit the map. Close the map and the map is updated in your document
