What if…
… you could copy the mind and knowledge of one person into another persons body.
There are many movies dealing with this topic. Today, I would like to give you the mindmap method for doing this. That’s right, you will be able to copy one person into another person.

Most people are visual thinkers. They need to see something before they understand or believe it. This can be seeing something in real life or seeing it with your minds eye.
Unfortunately, what often happens is that people think they know what happens and move forward using their own perspective or feelings. Although this is something that helps us often, there are occasions in which we need a more conscious and objective overview.
This is where the mindmap steps in.

I would like to take ‘unleashing your mindmaps’ one step further today. In a new series of articles, I will explore the way we can use the knowledge we have of mind mapping to improve our understanding and to create mental mindmaps.
For some hardcore (technical/traditional) mindmappers, today may be one step too far right now
. In the end it will all make sense. For the rest of y’all: read it and use it to your advantage. It is the concept which is important.

This weekend, I read a book by H.H. the Dalai Lama and Victor Chan, the Wisdom of Forgiveness. There are very interesting similarities which we can identify when comparing visual mapping/thinking and Tibetan Buddhism.
Perhaps visual mapping in this context is not the correct term to use. Once you start to think beyond the mind/visual mapping techniques, you will see there is a much bigger world. I believe this world shows us how all the data in the world is connected to and with each other.

As you know, this week I will be releasing my latest training service for you – the Mindmaps Unleashed Membership Program. Only a limited number of people can take part in the first edition of the membership. This is done to keep things more personal. I really want to spend time with you unleashing the power of your visual maps.
Today I want to share with you a way of working which will help you to focus your mind. The system I tell you about will enable you to move forward faster and get clear what you have to work on.
The title of today’s message is that you can become the world’s best procrastinator by using mindmaps. Well… this is true.
I probably have to explain this in more detail
.

I often receive the following question from parents looking into mind mapping for their children:
Can my children learn how to create mindmaps?
This is a question which is not that easy to answer, it depends on the child. Sure, people of many ages can create mindmaps. I do think you need to have a certain overview in information and developed mind before you can create an effective mindmap.
We can all doodle words and images on paper, yet this is not what equals the creation of an effective mindmap. Mind Mapping is a well defined system in stead of the creation of just a visual overview.
I was well in my twenties before I started to create ‘genuine’ of ‘official’ mindmaps. Before that, I always created visual overviews of information. Small drawings with lines, images and words. This was done on a ‘feel good’ basis, not really using a proven system.

Today I would like to share with you my #1 key in becoming a successful person. For me, there are only three main keys which help me to become more successful everyday. I love to hear your own advice on becoming (and being) more successful. Do share that!
We spoke about Taking Action before (part 1). We discussed the Interaction with our environment and people (part 2). There is one final ingredient which we did not discuss but which is crucial in becoming more successful.
The funny thing is this. Most people KNOW all three of these ‘rules’ or guidelines already. They know they have to take action and help others. They know about the third guideline. There is however a massive difference between KNOWING and DOING.
If there was no gap between knowing and doing, we would all be successful, famous, have university degrees and have the mental and physical fitness we desire. For instance, we all know that (one of) the biggest ’secrets’ in getting into physical shape is: Eat Less, Exercise More.
Most of us know, some of us start, few of us achieve.
