What I find most interesting about mapping out your information is that it usually is done on only one piece of paper. This gives you the advantage of viewing all your material at once. You don’t need to flip through your sheets.
Yesterday you created an overview of yourself.
How did that go? Was it difficult? Did it tell you something you might not have seen if you didn’t do that little experiment?
I think you know a little bit more about yourself because of what you did.
Remember, it is not about knowing you can do these experiments. It is all about doing them. Most people know so many things! They know how they can be extremely successful in what they do. But are they? Probably not. The number one reason for that is because the ‘know’ in stead of ‘do’ or apply. Most people want to see the exciting and new stuff, in stead of the proven and familiar they just don’t use
.
Let’s go back to the experiment. Today we continue with this ‘mapping out ourself’.
The exercise for today is that you create a map of who you are the moment you are completely comfortable with who you are. You accomplished your goals and you have nothing to do. You are there
. And believe me… it is highly unlikely that you are there right now (or don’t you have any dreams or goals you want to accomplish – is your life already perfect?)
I know this new situation will be the starting point of a new set of goals. I know that in between now and that moment, you create additional goals and learn things that drive you even further in life. Still, knowing what you know now and understanding where you want to go, create a new overview.
Create the map of the person you are when you reached the goals that you see right now in front of you.
Where do you live? What do you know? Who do you live, work, interact with? What do you feel?
Take your time.
Create this map right now.
You may not finish it immediately or perhaps even today.
Take your time. This is serious stuff, you know!!!
I think that the discussion of these maps is not something we will do tomorrow. You first take your time and then we discuss what you created yesterday, and what you created over the next couple of days.
Have fun, dream big and (as Anthony Robbins says) Life With Passion!
