I was listening to Tim Ferriss this weekend. He is the author of The 4 Hour Workweek. Tim used a wonderful term that will help us a lot in dealing with the information overload.
He said we should cultivate selective ignorance – using a low-information diet. You do have to make sure you use high quality information of course!
Here is the definition:
selective ignorance (noun): the practice of selectively ignoring distracting, irrelevant, or otherwise unnecessary information received, such as e-mails, news reports, etc.
Think about this and apply it today to reduce the stress on your brain and manage your information better.
