Juggle To Balance Your Mind

Perhaps you’ve been doing a self-improvement training. You may have received a set of juggling balls. I received one during a training and later on a friend gave me a second set. I learned that juggling helped you in creating more balance between both brain sides.

You see, I never was that much into juggling. Why should I… I have a clear and balanced brain (really :) ).

Then, when cleaning the attic, I found these balls again. And some disturbing times started…

It became clear to me that a balanced mind is not something that helps you in juggling. Apparently this only works one way, from hands to brain.

I failed miserably… Soon after understanding that I could not juggle, I opened my goals mindmap and added the following goal:

It is September 1st, 2009 and I can juggle with 4 balls, effortlessly.

Yes, I added a little additional challenge. How was I able to do this with 4 balls if I just couldn’t do this with 3 balls yet. And all of that has to be done in less than 2 weeks…

The first thing I did was make sure I tried, and tried, and tried, and tried.

This didn’t seem to work. I clearly needed more insight into juggling.

Doing some online research showed me that it should not be that difficult at all! If you follow the easy guidelines, you should be able to juggle with 3 balls fairly easily. 4 Balls is however something different, but do-able.

Now Why Am I Telling You This?

Of course there is a reason I am telling you this.

The first reason is that juggling with 3 balls is not easy at first, it will give you a lot of stress…

The second and main reason for this is to tell you that it is important you look for mentors. Sure, it’s great if you can figure out everything by yourself. You will however spend a lot of time, effort and money doing it on your own. But who cares, right? You did it on your own!

That is a very honorable thought.

Still, in case you want to move forward faster, you probably don’t want to spend too much time dealing with the techniques. You want to see how you can implement and then move forward.

The same applies to mind mapping. Every body can do it. You do need to make sure you do it the right way and you move forward because of what you get in return from your mindmaps. Don’t spend too much time learning how to create them. Use a mentor!

Starting next month, after I learned how to juggle with 4 balls, I want to start mentoring a dedicated group of people who want to move forward by using their mindmaps. I will let you know more about this program later on. If you are interested in making your mindmaps more effective, you can always contact me.

Oh… the third reason for telling you the juggle story and goal is simple. By telling you, I commit myself more to the goal. After all, you might want to see some results later on!

Enjoy your day and start to learn how to juggle as well. It will balance your brain, give you more focus and people tell me it is supposed to be fun (when you are past the stage of getting frustrated!!!!)
