A Wonderful Concept – Cultivating Selective Ignorance

I was listening to Tim Ferriss this weekend. He is the author of The 4 Hour Workweek. Tim used a wonderful term that will help us a lot in dealing with the information overload.

He said we should cultivate selective ignorance – using a low-information diet. You do have to make sure you use high quality information of course!

Here is the definition:

selective ignorance (noun): the practice of selectively ignoring distracting, irrelevant, or otherwise unnecessary information received, such as e-mails, news reports, etc.

Think about this and apply it today to reduce the stress on your brain and manage your information better.
