I advise companies on their strategic marketing plan, and show them how use a mind map to manage this process. I find that it's best for me to guide several of their strategy meetings before they take over the process using the initial mind map. So, I think people would benefit from having you "coach" then on mind mapping until they feel that they can use the process on their own. You have a great idea to help people individually.
